Mel's Note #7 - It's over..(or is it really?)

xXx Withdrawals,it ain't your time YET! xXx

Ahh~~the SP has actually, officially ended! It's quite hard to believe that it's all over now,but for some of us it hasn't even begun yet,ne?^^ I'm sorry I'm a little bit late in updating the blog today, but I was away all night yesterday and have just returned. And yes, that means I didn't get to watch
Special Lesson 2 last night, but it's all good..I don't want it to end just yet.

So I returned today to a lot of good news and surprises in store, including some direct download links!Yes,dear friends(and silent leechers)..for all of you who has been waiting for it, fellow Nodame fan Tiffiany has so graciously uploaded Special Lesson 1 on MU for us, and had surprised me with the links when I checked my inbox. ^^

I'll be posting those links later, and don't forget to say your thanks to Tiffiany. At the same time I'd really love it if more direct links can be shared here at this blog, so if you're still thinking about it,please be assured that your contributions are always welcomed and are greatly appreciated!

The SP has now ended and from what I've read and heard so far,to my utmost happiness, everyone had enjoyed it tremendously. But don't forget we still have the subtitles to look forward to(both versions), so don't let the withdrawal bugs get to you just yet!^^

xXx Haunn! xXx

In a series of unplanned, unexpected, unprecedented but very fortunate events,I somehow had the chance to watch the first part of the Nodame SP while it was airing in Japan a few hours ago.^__^

Sure,I missed almost 30 minutes of the beginning part. And granted, the quality of the image was really bad and the audio quality was unquestionably horrific - nothing near what a musically centered drama such as Nodame Cantabile deserved. But oh sweet god,it made my day..or should I say,my night.

I had no idea how much I missed watching Nodame and Chiaki on the screen again, until just now.How much I missed the music and the antics, how much I was longing for the pure magic that was Nodame Cantabile Live Action. And to say that the whole experience was awesome would be the biggest understatement.^^

Chiaki's conducting competition scenes,NodamexChiaki rabu, and many more!!I am much more calmer now,but I was positively going crazy(but in a good way) when I just finished watching the first part.I absolutely adored it,and I can't wait to properly watch it again when the raws are available. And I can't wait for everybody else to get to watch it too,and share the excitement with me.^^

The first part is over, and tomorrow it's on to the second and final one.I refuse to consider the withdrawals I''m going to have to experience after this just yet,so for now..let's just (bask in the SP glow/afterglow and) enjoy ourselves shall we?I'll try my best to keep updating the blog with whatever is necessary,so stay tuned!^^

*And to J,old mate..arigatou gozaimashita!!

Nodame Cantabile Shinshun Special in Europe Subtitles News #2

I finally checked on SARS Fansubs Wiki page, after being tipped about it in my first SP Subtitles post and found this exciting bit of information:

So we can now be relieved in the knowledge that SARS Fansubs will be releasing the hardsubbed version of the 2-episodes Special Drama, and I'm a happy camper 'cuz they never disappoint with the quality of their hardsubbed videos.^^

As an update on the softsubs front,I'm reposting Siantut of s-projects' post from d-addicts here:

Yes, as what I said on my post in this thread on Sept 2nd, I am going to sub Nodame SP (softsubs).
Thank you to Joeboygo for reconfirming it again on my behalf here.
I have also announced it on my site when the news about the SP was out.

This is the schedule according to the The Television magazine I just bought today:
Jan 4th: 9:00 - 11.22 PM (almost 2 and a half hours)
Jan 5th: 9:00 - 11.30 PM (exactly 2 and a half hours)

I will work on them as soon as I can get the RAW and timings, and will upload the softsubs here and on my site too.

So yoroshiku onegaishimasu to all our fansubbers,we're counting on you.Thank you so much!!^^

Mel's Note #5 - The 100th Post! Into the new year ~

xXx Goodbye,2007 and Hello,2008 xXx

Dear friends,

How do you do,minna?Contemplating on the year that was 2007,and excited of the promising prospect that is going to be 2008,no doubt?^^ Where I'm typing this from,it's going to be the New Year in less than 3 hours,so I thought it would be fun to leave a note as my 100th entry on this blog before I go out for the night.^^

In my first blog entry which I made a few months ago,I mentioned that this blog came into existence unintentionally on my part. While it wasn't something that I had planned properly beforehand, everything just fell into place easily, and soon I found myself working hard at it and enjoying myself as I was doing so.

Of course, there were a few disheartening setbacks that I had to go through, but at the same time because of this blog,I was able to help out and meet more Nodamefan friends and spread more of the Nodame Cantabile love.♥ And it's something I'm very happy about and this 'accidental' experience has definitely provided me with one more reason on why my year of 2007 was such a memorable one.Especially since the blog has been receiving a steady stream of visitors everyday now,and I'm very thankful for your support, arigatou gozaimasu.^^

When I first heard the rumours about it,I was a little bit skeptical but undeniably exhilarated at the same time. And when the confirmation finally happened, there was no describing of how thrilled and thankful I am that the SP's actually becoming a reality. And come 4th and 5th of January in the new year, the much awaited
"Nodame Cantabile Shinshun Special in Europe" will be aired in Japan. Somebody asked me if I am going to keep continuing with the blog after all the SP hype is over,so here's my answer ~ the blog will still be here, but I can't promise that I will be able to update it as regularly as I did previously.

Having said that, although I started this blog with the clear intention of dedicating it to the Live Action dorama, the Nodameverse is such an intricate, wonderfully weaved together kind of thing ~ with the manga, the live-action AND the anime available(God bless Ninomiya-sensei), I was never really able to concentrate on just that one part of it anyway, so I guess as long as the manga is still running(and the hardworking NCIS team is still scanlating!) I might still have one or two things Nodame I can blog about here in the future. So we'll see what happens.^^

Till I see you again in 2008,here's to the new year! And the SP..gyabo!

Waiting on the year to change,
